Maylene is an accomplished Principal Planner with over 20 years’ experience across resource management, infrastructure and network utilities, parks and open space, subdivision, and local government. She has contributed to the delivery of parks and open space networks, network utilities infrastructure, and waste management infrastructure in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Maylene has provided open space expert evidence at Board of Inquiry processes, private plan changes, and Environment Court proceedings.

Maylene has extensive experience working with the private sector, local government and central government departments in New Zealand and overseas. She has recently led consenting work for network utilities infrastructure clients. Maylene also has experience processing resource consent applications and providing specialist input for medium to large-scale residential developments, infrastructure projects, and parks assets.

As a Principal Planner, Maylene brings strong technical and project leadership to complex planning matters, including multidisciplinary workstreams, developing consenting strategies, peer review, mentoring, and collaboration with clients, councils, infrastructure providers, and stakeholders.

She has also assisted infrastructure clients with submissions on resource management reform processes.

Maylene has a Master of Planning Practice, a Bachelor of Business, and a Bachelor of Science. She is an accredited RMA Hearings Commissioner with Chair endorsement and is recognised for her practical, collaborative approach to navigating complex planning, infrastructure, and stakeholder environments.
