Rachel is a highly experienced and well-regarded Property Specialist with 19 years of experience in a variety of roles, including 14 years of public sector experience in property, planning, and project delivery within complex organisations and political environments.
Rachel comes to us from Kāinga Ora where she has spent 3 years in a national role liaising with multi-disciplinary teams and government agencies, providing comprehensive and detailed analysis, advice, feedback and recommendations on council-led Future Development Strategies as required by the National Policy Statement on Urban Development, and led development strategies for Kāinga Ora investment and activities in several locations nationwide. Rachel has previously worked at Eke Panuku, Auckland Council and Opus in several different property, planning and project management roles where she has been involved in site analysis and land acquisition for both the crown and local government and complex community and iwi consultations and negotiations.
Rachel is values-driven and has a strong personal commitment to making a lasting positive impact on people and communities. She is a strategic thinker who sees the big picture, actively plans work programmes to align with organisational strategic direction and prioritises resources to deliver on strategic outcomes.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Valuation & Property from Lincoln University, and in her spare time she loves sailing on the Hauraki Gulf and is focused on habitat restoration of her home oasis in the bush.
