Clare has a wide range of land and property experience with over 25 years of working in a number of technical property-related roles within government agencies. She has worked in positions involving the sale and management of Crown owned land at Ara Poutama (Department of Corrections), Waka Kotahi (New Zealand Transport Agency), Toitu Te Whenua (Land Information New Zealand) and its predecessor agencies, and New Zealand Railways Corporation.  These roles included managing large projects and land portfolios, Treaty Settlement obligations, stakeholder relationships and strategy development, and the provision of specialist advice on the disposal of Crown owned land and policy. She has also worked in teams that have provided expert evidence in the High Court and Disputes Tribunal.

Clare has an open communication style which along with her knowledge, experience and technical skills, builds successful client relationships that delivers results.

Clare is currently studying for a Diploma of Conveyancing, and holds a New Zealand Certificate in Survey Draughting, New Zealand Legal Executive Certificate.  She was also a member of Toastmasters in Wellington for several years and was selected to attend the government’s Natural Resources Sector Aspiring Leaders Programme while working at Land Information New Zealand.
