Mees is a creative and client-focused person who embraces challenges. He is driven to achieve high-quality outcomes focusing on programmes, engagement and bottom-line results.

Mees has gained experience in all aspects of the project life-cycle in various sectors. Recently, he quality audited and managed the landscape components of a significant roading project in the Wellington Region (implementation phase). Before this, Mees completed concept and detailed designs in the residential, commercial and tourism sectors (pre-implementation phase). He was also a landscaper, and team foreman conducting planting and construction works for subdivisions, restoration, residential and commercial projects (construction phase).

Mees holds four years of work experience working as a Landscape Architect and Junior Project Manager in a multi-national consultancy; a Graduate Landscape Architect for a landscape architecture firm, and a Landscaper and Foreman at a landscaping and nursery business.

He obtained a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (1st Class Honours) from Lincoln University in 2017 and was also part of the DesignLab Summer Scholarship summer programme (2015 and 2016).

Mees also conducts a busy social life playing golf and cycling.
