Mira is passionate about planning and policy processes that help to ensure projects are well executed. Her goal is to gain as much practical experience and insight in urban planning and to expand and refine her practical knowledge and skills. Her particular interests lie within environmental planning, consenting, planning and policy advice, and ensuring the planning processes are meaningful for development projects.

Mira is not new to planning. During her semester and summer breaks, she worked as a student intern planner for two years at a Northland based consultancy. There she gained practical experience with the Auckland Unitary Plan and Far North District Plans, resource consents, assessments of environmental effects and administration processes for planning-related proposals.

Her passion and high level of personal organisation secured her a Bachelor of Urban Planning (Honours) at the University of Auckland. Mira is currently seeking approval to become a New Zealand Planning Institute Graduate Member (having been a student member). She also has experience using AutoCAD, ArcGIS, ArcMAP and GEOMAPS.

Mira enjoys a variety of sports including swimming, water polo and hockey, and volunteered as a swimming instructor for three years.
