Simon Bardsley

Simon is a highly skilled and dedicated geospatial professional with 26 years of experience in geospatial analysis, environmental science, and GIS technologies.

Simon has worked as a Senior Geospatial Specialist and Scientist for NIWA (Ocean Geology Team), Auckland Council, Xerra Earth Observation Institute, and NZSpatial. He is proficient in GIS and Remote Sensing, data analysis, programming, and project management.

Simon holds a Master of Science in Geography, GIS, and Remote Sensing and a Bachelor of Science (University of Canterbury). He also holds certifications in machine learning, science, business intelligence, project management, data analytics, and FME data integration.

Simon is a Member of the New Zealand Cartographic Society and a Member of the IEEE Geospatial and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS). He enjoys connecting with the outdoors and continuous learning in areas of emerging geospatial technologies, to stay at the forefront of the field.
