Landscape Architect - Christchurch

Align is a multi-disciplinary consultancy with offices in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, New Plymouth and Whangarei. We provide market leading planning, landscape architecture, urban design, GIS, Crown property and project management services to a variety of public and private clients. The diversity and complexity of our landscape architecture workload is steadily increasing which means we now seek an enthusiastic, committed and technically skilled person to fill the role of Landscape Architect with 4-8 years experience in our Christchurch office.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing landscape architecture (and urban design) services for a range of projects across New Zealand, including:
    • 1-200+ lot masterplans.
    • Large scale highway urban and landscape design projects.
    • LVIA’s for electricity, transport and residential projects.
    • Campus and school landscape masterplans
    • Stream and wetland restoration projects.

Skills, Experience and Attributes Required for This Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person with:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • A good working knowledge of landscape architecture systems, processes, methodologies, procedures and techniques
  • Producing hand sketches, design plans and graphics
  • Competency in Vectorworks, AutoCad, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite or other 3d modelling tools.
  • The ability to become a registered landscape architect with NZILA

 

Applicants must have existing rights to work in New Zealand along with a full, clean driving license.
